Do I have to send you my passport to get a Gabon visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Gabon visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.

Passport
The applicant's passport. An emergency passport will not be accepted. The passport must:
- Be valid for six months beyond entry date
- Have at least two blank facing visa pages
- Be free of covers
Photographs
You must provide one colour, passport type photograph that meets the following criteria:
- Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
- Be taken against an all white background
- Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
- You may wear no headwear except for religious purposes
- Your photo should not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive or staples
Proof of Residency
Proof that you live in Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg, consisting of a copy of both sides of the ID card or a copy of the residence permit.
Letter of Introduction
A letter of introduction from the applicant's employer. This letter must:
- Be issued by an employer or branch of the employer
- Be written in French
- Be on company letterhead paper
- Include the name and address of the company
- Include the name of the applicant
- Include the date of birth of the applicant
- Include the passport details of the applicant
- Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
- Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
Letter of Invitation
An original invitation letter, written by the inviting company/sponsor in this destination. The letter of invitation must:
- Be on company letterhead paper
- Include the full name of the applicant
- Specify the purpose of journey
- Specify the number of visits (entries) to the country of destination
- Specify the length of the visa
- Be stamped and signed
- Be written in French
Proof of Travel Arrangements
A copy of the flight itinerary or e-ticket as issued by the travel provider
Proof of Accomodation
The original hotel booking confirmation. This confirmation must:
- State the name of the applicant
- Be printed on the letterhead paper of the hotel
- Have the stamp of the hotel
- Include a signature proving that the first three nights are paid
- Be in English or French.
Proof of Travel Insurance
A copy of actual travel insurance policy certificate (email not accepted). The certificate must:
- State the full name of the applicant
- State that the policy is valid for the duration of the entire trip

Visa Application Form
One completed and signed application form is required. The form must:
- Be completed in block capitals only
- Be filled out in black or blue pen
Multiple Entry Applicants
Applicants who need a multiple entry visa can only apply for a 3 months multiple entry visa.
The invitation letter must specify the number of visits (entries) to the country of destination and specify the lenght of the visa.CIBTvisas Order Form

On Arrival Conditions
Upon your arrival you should have to hand, a copy of your invitation and hotel confirmation for Customs. Please make sure you take these documents with you on your trip.

The applicant needs to contact a travel agency in Gabon. This agency must issue an attestation confirming the applicant's address during his stay in Gabon. You need the original version of this attestation for the visa applications. Copies or scans are not accepted.

- State the full name of the applicant
- State that the policy is valid for the duration of the entire trip

A copy of the applicant's yellow fever certificate booklet.
